System Motorcycle Seat
Tech Help for 1983 Yamaha Virago 500?
I just got this motorcycle and the is a gas leaks out.... On the fuel system there are 2 cleay yellowish tubes that run from the carb, under the tank and then come out under the seat with nothing connected to them and when I drive one of them is constantly fuel spewing from it. is it susposed to do that or should i conect it to something??
Those are float bowl vent tubes.Either a float level is set wrong or has become filled with fuel from a hole in it or the needle valve and seat are bad.With a bike that age i'd guess it's the needle valve.It's not hard to check that for someone familiar with carbs.It should not very very costly either.Simple job to do.
