Harley Davison Take
Can anyone tell me how to import a Harley Davison from the States to the U.K?
I've been told that if you take the bike apart (saddle, front wheel, etc) you can avoid some of the tax.
Even if you could reduce the tax, there is still import duty and brokerage charges to pay, plus of course, the actual cost of shipping the bike over her.
As it is a private import, the bike will need an S.V.A. test before you can register it for Bristish roads- this costs around £1,000.
As mentioned above, unless it's a really, really rare model, it works out cheaper to buy one in the U.K.
